West Virginia High School Basketball - Lincoln crushes Preston

December 28, 2023: Kingwood, WV 26537

Lincoln Cougars (Shinnston, WV) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Preston Knights (Kingwood, WV), 73-45 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Lincoln upgrades its record to 3-3 on the season. The Cougars travel to Elkins (Elkins, WV) to clash with the Tigers in a Big Ten bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Tigers go into the bout with a record of 0-4. Elkins lost 51-33 in their recent non-league bout against Penn-Trafford (Harrison City, PA)

Next up, the Knights clash with the Philip Barbour Colts (Philippi, WV) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Preston will attempt to upgrade on its 2-4 season record. The Colts go into the bout with a 2-2 record after their 77-68 non-league win over Frankfort (Ridgeley, WV).
