Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Salinas Cowboys (Salinas, CA), 49-42 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carlmont upgrades its record to 5-6 on the campaign. The Scots travel to Cabrillo (Lompoc, CA) to play the Conquistadores in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 30. The Conquistadores come into the bout with a record of 12-2. Cabrillo lost 43-30 in their recent non-league bout against South (Torrance, CA)

Next up, the Cowboys play the Presentation Panthers (San Jose, CA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Salinas will attempt to upgrade on its 6-3 season record. The Panthers come into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 69-21 non-league loss to Lincoln (Stockton, CA).
