Crete-Monee Warriors (Crete, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Thornton Fractional South Red Wolves (Lansing, IL), 46-40 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Crete-Monee upgrades its record to 5-11 on the season. The Warriors travel to Thornton (Harvey, IL) to clash with the Wildcats in a Southland bout on Thursday, January 4. The Wildcats go into the bout with a record of 12-4. Thornton lost 34-29 in their recent non-league bout against Central (Burlington, IL)

Next up, the Red Wolves clash with the Shepard Astros (Palos Heights, IL) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Thornton Fractional South will attempt to upgrade on its 9-9 season record.
