North Carolina High School Basketball - Currituck County overwhelmed by Perquimans

The Currituck County Knights basketball team (Barco, NC), was overwhelmed 61-28 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Perquimans Pirates (Hertford, NC)

The Pirates now possess a 9-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Nansemond-Suffolk Academy for a non-league battle on Friday, January 5. Perquimans will confront a Saints team coming off a 41-38 league loss to Norfolk Collegiate (Norfolk, VA). The Saints record now stands at 0-5.

The Knights (6-1) will now prepare for their battle against Oscar Smith (Chesapeake, VA). The Tigers come into the non-league battle with a 4-3 record. In their last battle, Oscar Smith was overwhelmed by Bethel (Hampton, VA), 50-44, in a non-league battle.
