With the victory, McGuffey improves its record to 9-0 on the campaign. The Highlanders host South Park (South Park, PA) to confront the Eagles in a WPIAL 3A 4 challenge on Tuesday, January 2. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 4-2.

Next up, the Rangers confront the Carlynton Cougars (Carnegie, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 2. Fort Cherry will attempt to improve on its 5-3 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 51-18 non-league loss to Deer Lakes (Russellton, PA).
