Texas High School Basketball - Lipan nips Martins Mill

December 28, 2023: Lipan, TX 76462

Lipan Indians (Lipan, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the visiting Martins Mill Mustangs (Ben Wheeler, TX), 46-43 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Lipan upgrades its record to 15-3 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Santo (Santo, TX) to play the Wildcats in a 2A Region II District 11 bout on Friday, January 5. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 8-10.

Next up, the Mustangs play the Pineywoods Community Academy Timberwolves (Lufkin, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 29. Martins Mill will attempt to upgrade on its 18-4 season record. The Timberwolves come into the bout with a 17-2 record after their 67-38 non-league win over Joaquin (Joaquin, TX).
