Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Spanish Springs Cougars (Sparks, NV) and the host Reed Raiders (Sparks, NV), saw Spanish Springs's basketball squad overcome Reed by a tally of 66-57.

With the victory, Spanish Springs improves its record to 8-4 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Douglas (Minden, NV) to confront the Tigers in a non-league challenge on Friday, December 29. The Tigers come into the challenge with a record of 11-1. Douglas won 54-21 in their recent non-league challenge against Oasis Academy (Fallon, NV)

Next up, the Raiders confront the Carson Senators (Carson City, NV) in a challenge, on Thursday, January 4. Reed will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Senators come into the challenge with a 3-6 record after their 56-33 non-league loss to Elko (Elko, NV).
