With the victory, Celeste advances its record to 9-9 on the year. The Blue Devils travel to Wolfe City (Wolfe City, TX) to face the Wolves in a 2A Region II District 14 match on Friday, January 3. The Wolves enter the match with a record of 4-13. Wolfe City lost 91-37 in their recent non-league match against Farmersville (Farmersville, TX)

The Panthers now own a 2-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Martins Mill for a 2A Region III District 19 match on Tuesday, December 31. Alba-Golden will face a Mustangs squad coming off a 39-36 non-league win over Lipan (Lipan, TX). The Mustangs record now stands at 19-1.
