In Saturday's non-league contest, the host Breese Central Cougars basketball team scored a good 53-44 triumph over the Highland Bulldogs.
The Cougars (10-3) will now prepare for their contest against Mater Dei (Breese, IL). The Knights go into the non-league contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Mater Dei topped Orchard Farm (St. Charles, MO), 53-50, in a non-league contest.
