Mississippi High School Basketball - Northpoint Christian overwhelmed by Brighton

In Saturday's non-league test, the Brighton Cardinals (Brighton, TN) basketball squad trounced the host Northpoint Christian Trojans (Southaven, MS), by a margin of 59-36.

The Cardinals now have a 8-3 record. They play next when they travel to Munford for a 3A District 15 game on Friday, January 3. Brighton will confront a Cougars team coming off a 82-75 non-league loss to Haywood (Brownsville, TN). The Cougars record now stands at 6-5.

With the loss, Northpoint Christian falls to 1-5 on the campaign. The Trojans host West Memphis Christian (West Memphis, AR) to confront the Black Knights in a non-league game on Friday, January 3.
