The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Friendswood Mustangs (Friendswood, TX) and the host Clear Creek Wildcats (League City, TX), observed Friendswood's basketball team overcome Clear Creek by a score of 44-29.

The Mustangs (19-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Fort Bend Hightower (Missouri City, TX). The Hurricanes come into the non-league challenge with a 11-8 record. In their last challenge, Fort Bend Hightower dropped by West Brook (Beaumont, TX), 70-61, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Clear Lake Falcons (Houston, TX) in a 6A Region III District 24 challenge, on Friday, January 3. Clear Creek will attempt to improve on its 8-14 season record. The Falcons come into the challenge with a 14-9 record after their 55-50 non-league loss to University (Waco, TX).
