The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cortland Purple Tigers (Cortland, NY) and the visiting Homer Trojans (Homer, NY), observed Cortland's basketball team knock off Homer by a score of 56-37.

The Purple Tigers (5-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Pulaski (Pulaski, NY). The Blue Devils come into the non-league challenge with a 2-3 record.

In their next game, the Trojans encounter the Chittenango Bears (Chittenango, NY) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Homer will attempt to improve on its 0-5 season record. The Bears come into the challenge with a 2-3 record after their 67-34 non-league loss to Christian Brothers Academy (Syracuse, NY).
