The Fairmont Senior Polar Bears (Fairmont, WV) basketball toppled the visiting Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV), 58-46 in Saturday's league bout.

The Polar Bears now possess a 3-1 record. They play next when they travel to Charleston Catholic for a non-league bout on Saturday, January 4. Fairmont Senior will play a Irish team coming off a 60-50 non-league loss to Wyoming East (New Richmond, WV). The Irish record now stands at 3-4.

In their next game, the Eagles confront the Hampshire Trojans (Romney, WV) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, January 4. Robert C. Byrd will attempt to better on its 1-2 season record. The Trojans go into the contest with a 4-2 record after their 62-28 non-league loss to Hoover (Clendenin, WV).
