The Mary Star of the Sea Stars basketball team scored 51 points and limited the host Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies to 50 in the Stars non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Stars now possess a 11-5 record. They play next when they travel to Chowchilla for a non-league game on Monday, December 30. Mary Star of the Sea will play a Tribe team coming off a 58-48 non-league loss to Oxford Academy (Cypress, CA). The Tribe record now stands at 9-7.

With the loss, Godinez Fundamental falls to 6-11 on the campaign. The Grizzlies host Costa Mesa (Costa Mesa, CA) to play the Mustangs in a Orange Coast game on Friday, January 3. The Mustangs go into the game with a record of 5-12. Costa Mesa won 65-55 in their recent non-league game against Arlington (Riverside, CA)
