North Carolina High School Basketball - West Lincoln held off by North Gaston

In Saturday's non-league test, the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) basketball squad got by the visiting West Lincoln Rebels (Lincolnton, NC), by a score of 39-38.

Next, the Wildcats encounter the Stuart W. Cramer Storm (Belmont, NC) in a 3A Big South test, on Tuesday, January 7. North Gaston will attempt to improve on its 6-6 season record. The Storm come into the test with a 5-7 record after their 73-46 non-league win over Cherryville (Cherryville, NC).

The Rebels (5-7) will now prepare for their test against Bunker Hill (Claremont, NC). The Bears come into the 2A Catawba Valley test with a 0-10 record. In their last test, Bunker Hill was nipped by Alexander Central (Taylorsville, NC), 63-50, in a non-league test.
