With the victory, Chalmette advances its record to 9-9 on the year. The Owls travel to South Lafourche (Galliano, LA) to meet the Tarpons in a non-league match on Thursday, January 2. The Tarpons enter the match with a record of 7-7. South Lafourche won 57-23 in their recent non-league match against West St. John (Edgard, LA)

The Penguins now own a 4-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host St. Scholastica for a non-league match on Friday, January 3. Academy of Our Lady will meet a Doves squad coming off a 47-40 non-league win over Davidson (Mobile, AL). The Doves record now stands at 14-2.
