In Saturday's non-league test, the Apalachee Wildcats (Winder, GA) basketball squad knocked off the visiting Johnson Knights (Gainesville, GA), by a score of 46-31.

Next, the Wildcats encounter the Clarke Central Gladiators (Athens, GA) in a AAAAA Region 8 test, on Friday, January 3. Apalachee will attempt to improve on its 4-11 season record. The Gladiators come into the test with a 3-7 record after their 33-27 non-league win over Westminster (Atlanta, GA).

The Knights (0-10) will now prepare for their test against Lumpkin County (Dahlonega, GA). The Indians come into the AAA Region 6 test with a 6-7 record. In their last test, Lumpkin County was knocked off by Christian Heritage (Dalton, GA), 54-50, in a non-league test.
