The Saranac Spartans basketball team scored 52 points and limited the host Beekmantown Eagles to 37 in the Spartans non-league triumph on Saturday.

The Spartans now possess a 7-1 record. They play next when they host Peru for a Section 7 Champlain Valley game on Friday, January 3. Saranac will play a Nighthawks team coming off a 54-49 non-league win over Franklin Academy (Malone, NY). The Nighthawks record now stands at 6-1.

With the loss, Beekmantown falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Eagles travel to Moriah (Port Henry, NY) to play the Vikings in a Section 7 Champlain Valley game on Wednesday, January 8. The Vikings go into the game with a record of 4-1.
