In Saturday's league contest, the host Shadyside Tigers basketball team scored a good 60-50 triumph over the Buckeye Local Panthers.

The Tigers (2-7) will now prepare for their contest against Monroe Central (Woodsfield, OH). The Seminoles go into the Mid-Ohio Valley contest with a 7-4 record. In their last contest, Monroe Central was topped by Fort Frye (Beverly, OH), 48-26, in a non-league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the Barnesville Shamrocks (Barnesville, OH) in a Mid-Ohio Valley contest, on Thursday, January 2. Buckeye Local will attempt to better on its 1-9 season record. The Shamrocks go into the contest with a 4-6 record after their 43-36 non-league loss to Bellaire (Bellaire, OH).
