The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Cherokee Indians (Cherokee, AL) and the visiting Vina Red Devils (Vina, AL), observed Cherokee's basketball team knock off Vina by a score of 41-31.

The Indians (4-7) will now prepare for their challenge against Colbert Heights (Tuscumbia, AL). The Wildcats come into the non-league challenge with a 9-8 record. In their last challenge, Colbert Heights prevailed over Tharptown (Russellville, AL), 44-42, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Red Devils encounter the Phillips Bears (Bear Creek, AL) in a 1A Area 13 challenge, on Monday, January 6. Vina will attempt to improve on its 4-15 season record.
