With the victory, Cypress Lakes advances its record to 16-7 on the year. The Spartans host Langham Creek (Houston, TX) to meet the Lobos in a 6A Region II District 16 battle on Tuesday, January 7. The Lobos enter the battle with a record of 15-7.

The Falcons now own a 4-19 record. They put it on the line next when they host Cypress Ridge for a 6A Region III District 17 battle on Saturday, January 4.
