The Mattanawcook Lynx basketball team scored 36 points and limited the host Dexter Tigers to 21 in the Lynx league triumph on Saturday.

The Lynx now have a 5-1 record. They play next when they host Woodland for a C North game on Thursday, January 2. Mattanawcook will confront a Dragons team coming off a 59-22 league loss to Machias (Machias, ME). The Dragons record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Dexter falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME) to confront the Howlers in a C North game on Thursday, January 2. The Howlers go into the game with a record of 6-0. Penobscot Valley won 71-21 in their recent league game against Orono (Orono, ME)
