Maine High School Basketball - North Yarmouth Academy can't hold off Dirigo

Dirigo Cougars (Dixfield, ME) boosters left the game satisfied Saturday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host North Yarmouth Academy Panthers (Yarmouth, ME), 48-47 in a league match.
With the victory, Dirigo upgrades its record to 5-3 on the year. The Cougars travel to St. Dominic (Lewiston, ME) to face the Saints in a non-league match on Saturday, January 4. The Saints enter the match with a record of 3-4.
The Panthers now sport a 4-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Poland for a C South match on Thursday, January 2. North Yarmouth Academy will face a Knights squad coming off a 56-47 non-league win over Mountain Valley (Rumford, ME). The Knights record now stands at 6-0.
