The East Rowan Mustangs were victorious over the visiting Salisbury Hornets basketball squad by a final score of 55-38 in Saturday's non-league outing.

Next, the Mustangs face the South Rowan Raiders (China Grove, NC) in a 3A South Piedmont outing, on Friday, January 3. East Rowan will attempt to upgrade on its 9-2 season record. The Raiders enter the outing with a 4-7 record after their 62-22 non-league win over West Rowan (Mt. Ulla, NC).

The Hornets (6-4) will now prepare for their outing against East Davidson (Thomasville, NC). The Golden Eagles enter the 1A/2A Central Carolina outing with a 3-9 record. In their last outing, East Davidson ran past Madison (Marshall, NC), 41-38, in a non-league outing.
