California High School Basketball - Mira Monte thwarts Garces Memorial

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Mira Monte Lions (Bakersfield, CA) and the visiting Garces Memorial Rams (Bakersfield, CA), observed Mira Monte's basketball team knock off Garces Memorial by a score of 38-23.

The Lions (2-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Yosemite (Oakhurst, CA). The Badgers come into the non-league challenge with a 5-11 record. In their last battle, Yosemite knocked off Mariposa County (Mariposa, CA), 46-36, in a non-league battle.

The Rams now own a 4-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host South for a non-league battle on Thursday, January 2. Garces Memorial will meet a Spartans squad coming off a 49-46 non-league loss to West (Bakersfield, CA). The Spartans record now stands at 3-6.
