Virginia High School Basketball - Liberty triumphant over Patrick County

The crowd at Saturday's non-league challenge between the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) and the host Patrick County Cougars (Stuart, VA), observed Liberty's basketball team overwhelm Patrick County by a score of 64-30.

The Minutemen (7-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Jefferson Forest (Forest, VA). The Cavaliers come into the Seminole challenge with a 5-4 record. In their last challenge, Jefferson Forest trounced Amherst County (Amherst, VA), 52-37, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Cougars encounter the North Stokes Vikings (Danbury, NC) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, January 3. Patrick County will attempt to improve on its 3-4 season record. The Vikings come into the challenge with a 10-1 record after their 57-40 non-league loss to Surry Central (Dobson, NC).
