In Saturday's league test, the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) basketball squad trounced the host Orono Riots (Orono, ME), by a score of 71-21.

Next, the Howlers clash with the Dexter Tigers (Dexter, ME) in a C North test, on Thursday, January 2. Penobscot Valley will attempt to improve on its 6-0 season record. The Tigers come into the test with a 4-2 record after their 36-21 league loss to Mattanawcook (Lincoln, ME).

The Riots (1-4) will now prepare for their test against Bucksport (Bucksport, ME). The Golden Bucks come into the C North test with a 3-1 record. In their last test, Bucksport was routed by Central (East Corinth, ME), 52-29, in a league test.
