The Prout Crusaders (Wakefield, RI) ice hockey held off the visiting Bishop Guertin Cardinals (Nashua, NH), 3-2 in Saturday's non-league outing.
The Crusaders now own a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Smithfield for a State Championship Division outing on Wednesday, January 1. Prout will encounter a Sentinels team coming off a 8-6 non-league loss to Billerica Memorial (Billerica, MA). The Sentinels record now stands at 2-4.
With the defeat, Bishop Guertin moves to 1-3 on the season. The Cardinals travel to Pinkerton (Derry, NH) to encounter the Astros in a Division 1 outing on Saturday, January 4. The Astros go into the outing with a record of 0-0.
