Rhode Island High School Ice Hockey - East Greenwich knocks off Cumberland

In Saturday's non-league contest, the host East Greenwich Avengers ice hockey team scored a close 5-2 victory over the Cumberland Clippers.

The Avengers (7-1) will now prepare for their contest against Coventry (Coventry, RI). The Oakers go into the non-league contest with a 0-2 record.

In their next game, the Clippers play the Cranston West Falcons (Cranston, RI) in a Division 2 contest, on Friday, January 3. Cumberland will attempt to better on its 2-3 season record. The Falcons go into the contest with a 3-2 record after their 6-2 league win over South Kingstown (Wakefield, RI).
