Fulton Steamers (Fulton, IL) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Alleman Pioneers (Rock Island, IL), 54-29 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fulton upgrades its record to 6-6 on the season. The Steamers travel to Mercer County (Aledo, IL) to play the Golden Eagles in a non-league bout on Friday, December 30. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a record of 7-3. Mercer County lost 61-57 in their recent non-league bout against Morrison (Morrison, IL)

Next up, the Pioneers play the Galesburg Silver Streaks (Galesburg, IL) in a Western Big 6 bout, on Friday, January 6. Alleman will attempt to upgrade on its 4-11 season record. The Silver Streaks go into the bout with a 4-13 record after their 57-51 non-league loss to Rantoul (Rantoul, IL).
