Bay City Blackcats (Bay City, TX) backers were pleased Thursday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Angleton Christian Warriors (Angleton, TX), 47-25 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Bay City upgrades its record to 4-12 on the campaign. The Blackcats travel to Columbia (West Columbia, TX) to play the Roughnecks in a 4A Region IV District 26 bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Roughnecks come into the bout with a record of 6-14. Columbia lost 34-20 in their recent non-league bout against Brazosport (Freeport, TX)

Next up, the Warriors play the Brazosport Christian Eagles (Lake Jackson, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Angleton Christian will attempt to upgrade on its 14-7 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 8-2 record after their 61-48 league win over Family Christian (Houston, TX).
