The Estill County Engineers (Irvine, KY) basketball nipped the visiting Bethlehem Eagles/Banshees (Bardstown, KY), 65-58 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Engineers (6-4) will now prepare for their test against Powell County (Stanton, KY). The Pirates go into the District 56 test with a 4-6 record.
The Eagles/Banshees now own a 5-5 record. They play next when they host Thomas Nelson for a District 19 test on Tuesday, January 3. Bethlehem will encounter a Generals squad coming off a 64-35 non-league loss to Anderson County (Lawrenceburg, KY). The Generals record now stands at 0-8.
