The Cypress Ranch Mustangs topped the visiting Dekaney Wildcats basketball team by a final score of 59-42 in Thursday's non-league game.

In their next game, the Mustangs face the Bridgeland Bears (Cypress, TX) in a 6A Region II District 16 game, on Tuesday, January 3. Cypress Ranch will attempt to move on its 13-6 season record. The Bears enter the game with a 5-13 record after their 63-53 non-league loss to Jordan (Fulshear, TX).

With the defeat, Dekaney moves to 7-15 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Aldine (Houston, TX) to face the Mustangs in a 6A Region II District 14 game on Tuesday, January 3. The Mustangs enter the game with a record of 8-11. Aldine won 63-51 in their recent non-league game against West Orange-Stark (Orange, TX)
