The Sterling Golden Warriors basketball team scored 56 points and held the host Dunlap Eagles to 50 in the Golden Warriors non-league triumph on Thursday.
The Golden Warriors now sport a 13-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mt. Zion for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 29. Sterling will meet a Braves team coming off a 75-62 non-league win over Dunlap (Dunlap, IL). The Braves record now stands at 13-1.
The Eagles (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Decatur Eisenhower (Decatur, IL). The Panthers enter the non-league contest with a 2-11 record. In their last contest, Decatur Eisenhower was nudged by Rantoul (Rantoul, IL), 64-57, in a non-league contest.
