Edison Golden Bears (San Antonio, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting MacArthur Brahmas (San Antonio, TX), 56-39 in a league bout.

With the win, Edison upgrades its record to 3-17 on the season. The Golden Bears host Brackenridge (San Antonio, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A Region IV District 27 bout on Saturday, December 31. The Eagles go into the bout with a record of 10-6.

Next up, the Brahmas play the Jefferson Mustangs (San Antonio, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 27 bout, on Saturday, December 31. MacArthur will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Mustangs go into the bout with a 7-16 record after their 48-44 league loss to Highlands (San Antonio, TX).
