Georgetown Royals (Georgetown, MA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pentucket Regional (West Newbury, MA), 56-44 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Georgetown upgrades its record to 3-1 on the season. The Royals travel to Hamilton-Wenham Regional (South Hamilton, MA) to clash with the Generals in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Generals go into the bout with a record of 1-3. Hamilton-Wenham Regional lost 56-42 in their recent non-league bout against Essex North Shore Agric & Tech School (Hathorne, MA)

Next up, the clash with the Manchester Essex Hornets (Manchester, MA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 10. Pentucket Regional will attempt to upgrade on its 0-4 season record.
