Unatego Spartans (Otego, NY) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Harpursville Hornets (Harpursville, NY), 46-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Unatego upgrades its record to 2-4 on the season. The Spartans travel to Sidney (Sidney, NY) to clash with the Warriors in a Section 4 Midstate bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Warriors go into the bout with a record of 1-4. Sidney lost 82-46 in their recent non-league bout against Morris Central (Morris, NY)

Next up, the Hornets clash with the Walton Warriors (Walton, NY) in a Section 4 Midstate bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Harpursville will attempt to upgrade on its 2-6 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 4-3 record after their 71-47 non-league loss to South Kortright Central (South Kortright, NY).
