The Penns Valley Area Rams (Spring Mills, PA) basketball nipped the host Juniata Indians (Mifflintown, PA), 34-33 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Rams (1-5) will now prepare for their test against Bald Eagle Area (Wingate, PA). The Bald Eagles go into the Mountain test with a 4-4 record. In their last test, Bald Eagle Area was tipped by Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy (Boalsburg, PA), 59-50, in a non-league test.

The Indians now own a 4-4 record. They play next when they travel to Susquenita for a Tri-Valley test on Tuesday, January 3. Juniata will encounter a Blackhawks squad coming off a 42-27 league loss to Newport (Newport, PA). The Blackhawks record now stands at 1-4.
