The Pima Roughriders (Pima, AZ) basketball nipped the host Thatcher Eagles (Thatcher, AZ), 47-45 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Roughriders (9-2) will now prepare for their test against Benson (Benson, AZ). The Bobcats go into the 2A East test with a 9-7 record. In their last test, Benson got by Veritas Prep (Phoenix, AZ), 78-64, in a non-league test.

The Eagles now own a 6-6 record. They play next when they travel to Buena for a non-league test on Wednesday, January 4. Thatcher will encounter a Colts squad coming off a 67-56 non-league win over Mountain View (Tucson, AZ). The Colts record now stands at 3-3.
