West Springfield Terriers (West Springfield, MA) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Pope Francis Prep Cardinals (Springfield, MA), 68-61 in a non-league bout.

With the win, West Springfield upgrades its record to 6-0 on the season. The Terriers travel to Northampton (Northampton, MA) to play the Blue Devils in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Blue Devils go into the bout with a record of 4-2. Northampton won 53-44 in their recent non-league bout against Commerce (Springfield, MA)

Next up, the Cardinals play the Westfield Bombers (Westfield, MA) in a Valley bout, on Thursday, January 5. Pope Francis Prep will attempt to upgrade on its 5-1 season record.
