LaPoynor Flyers (LaRue, TX) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the visiting Miller Grove Hornets (Cumby, TX), 63-12 in a non-league bout.

With the win, LaPoynor upgrades its record to 10-2 on the season. The Flyers travel to Chapel Hill (Tyler, TX) to play the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-6. Chapel Hill won 57-45 in their recent non-league bout against Ennis (Ennis, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Pioneer Technology & Arts Academy (Greenville, TX) in a 1A Region III District 23 bout, on Tuesday, January 3. Miller Grove will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The go into the bout with a 1-12 record after their 35-23 league loss to Savoy (Savoy, TX).
