The Rains Wildcats basketball team (Emory, TX), was nudged 37-35 in Thursday's non-league battle with the host Quitman Bulldogs (Quitman, TX)
The Bulldogs now sport a 9-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harmony for a 3A Region II District 13 battle on Tuesday, January 3.
The Wildcats (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against Athens (Athens, TX). The Hornets come into the non-league battle with a 1-10 record. In their last battle, Athens was nudged by Ennis (Ennis, TX), 52-28, in a non-league battle.
