Erwin Warriors (Asheville, NC) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting West Henderson Falcons (Hendersonville, NC), 42-38 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Erwin upgrades its record to 5-4 on the season. The Warriors host Smoky Mountain (Sylva, NC) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 3. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 1-8. Smoky Mountain lost 64-63 in their recent non-league bout against Swain County (Bryson City, NC)

Next up, the Falcons clash with the Enka Jets (Enka, NC) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 4. West Henderson will attempt to upgrade on its 7-5 season record.
