Ashland Hornets (Ashland, ME) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host East Grand Vikings (Dansforth, ME), 60-33 in a league bout.

With the victory, Ashland upgrades its record to 1-3 on the campaign. The Hornets host Katahdin (Sherman Station, ME) to play the Cougars in a D North bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Cougars come into the bout with a record of 4-1.

Next up, the Vikings play the Madawaska Owls (Madawaska, ME) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. East Grand will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Owls come into the bout with a 3-4 record after their 55-31 league loss to Fort Fairfield (Fort Fairfield, ME).
