Bay Tigers (Bay St. Louis, MS) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Gautier Gators (Gautier, MS), 49-48 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Bay upgrades its record to 4-13 on the season. The Tigers host Pass Christian (Pass Christian, MS) to play the Pirates in a 4A Region 8 bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Pirates go into the bout with a record of 9-7. Pass Christian won 58-36 in their recent non-league bout against St. Martin (Ocean Springs, MS)

Next up, the Gators play the Vancleave Bulldogs (Vancleave, MS) in a 5A Region 4 bout, on Friday, January 5. Gautier will attempt to upgrade on its 6-9 season record. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a 1-11 record after their 53-20 league loss to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS).
