Grace Community Cougars (Tyler, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Bishop Gorman Crusaders (Tyler, TX), 55-34 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Grace Community upgrades its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Cougars travel to Legacy Christian Academy (Frisco, TX) to play the Eagles in a TAPPS 5A District 2 bout on Friday, January 5. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 6-14. Legacy Christian Academy lost 57-27 in their recent non-league bout against All Saints (Fort Worth, TX)

Next up, the Crusaders play the North Dallas Adventist Academy Sentinel (Richardson, TX) in a TAPPS 3A District 2 bout, on Tuesday, January 2. Bishop Gorman will attempt to upgrade on its 17-4 season record. The Sentinel come into the bout with a 3-2 record after their 54-44 non-league win over Highlands (Irving, TX).
