Blue Mountain Bucks (Wells River, VT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Craftsbury Academy Chargers (Craftsbury Common, VT), 55-36 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Blue Mountain upgrades its record to 2-3 on the season. The Bucks travel to Sharon Academy (Sharon, VT) to play the Phoenix in a Southern Vermont - D bout on Wednesday, January 3. The Phoenix go into the bout with a record of 0-5. Sharon Academy lost 67-32 in their recent league bout against West Rutland (West Rutland, VT)

Next up, the Chargers play the Oxbow Olympians (Bradford, VT) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Craftsbury Academy will attempt to upgrade on its 0-3 season record. The Olympians go into the bout with a 2-5 record after their 57-50 non-league win over Blue Mountain (Wells River, VT).
