Carroll Cougars (Flora, IN) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the host Clinton Prairie Gophers (Frankfort, IN), 59-46 in a non-league bout.

With the victory, Carroll upgrades its record to 6-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Delphi Community (Delphi, IN) to play the Oracles in a Hoosier Heartland bout on Friday, January 5. The Oracles come into the bout with a record of 2-8. Delphi Community lost 48-42 in their recent non-league bout against Winamac (Winamac, IN)

Next up, the Gophers play the Northwestern Tigers (Kokomo, IN) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, January 6. Clinton Prairie will attempt to upgrade on its 6-2 season record.
