Maryland High School Basketball - Chopticon ripped by Fairmont Heights

In Friday's non-league match, the host Fairmont Heights Hornets basketball team scored a decisive 78-52 triumph over the Chopticon Braves.

In their next game, the Hornets meet the Surrattsville Hornets (Clinton, MD) in a Prince George's County 3A/2A/1A match, on Thursday, January 4. Fairmont Heights will attempt to better on its 5-0 season record. The Hornets enter the match with a 4-3 record after their 70-51 non-league win over Mt. Hebron (Ellicott City, MD).

With the defeat, Chopticon moves to 2-4 on the year. The Braves host Howard (Ellicott City, MD) to meet the Lions in a non-league match on Tuesday, January 2. The Lions enter the match with a record of 3-3. Howard won 67-34 in their recent non-league match against Westminster (Westminster, MD)
