The Marlboro Mustangs basketball team scored 72 points and held the host Colts Neck Cougars to 52 in the Mustangs non-league triumph on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 3-3 record. They put it on the line next when they host Neptune for a non-league contest on Wednesday, January 3. Marlboro will play a Scarlet Fliers squad coming off a 46-34 non-league loss to Monmouth Regional (Tinton Falls, NJ). The Scarlet Fliers record now stands at 0-7.

Next up, the Cougars play the Liberty Lions (Jackson, NJ) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, January 3. Colts Neck will attempt to upgrade on its 4-2 season record. The Lions come into the bout with a 0-7 record after their 40-38 non-league loss to Point Pleasant Boro (Point Pleasant, NJ).
